Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) will be deploying Emotional and Spiritual Care teams to the San Marcos Activity Center, which will serve as a Multi-Agency Resource Center, on Tuesday and Wednesday (7/24 & 7/25) to provide emotional and spiritual care, immediate financial assistance, and long-term recovery support to families impacted by the apartment fires that occurred on Friday, July 20th. Hours of operation for the Resource Center for survivor care will be 10am – 7pm. To date, ADRN has been able to offer emotional and spiritual care assistance (at the request of Hays County) to comfort two families who have missing loved ones and one person impacted by the fire. Local congregations from ADRN’s network of more than 175 churches are also preparing to sponsor survivor families through ADRN’s Disaster Relief Shepherd program to guide them through the recovery process.
ADRN will provide Disaster Relief Shepherd training for pastors and churches in the San Marcos area on Wednesday, July 25 from 6:30p-9:30p at Promiseland in San Marcos located at 1650 Lime Kiln Road, San Marcos, Texas 78666. Register online at adrn.org/events. ADRN is coordinating closely with Hays County, Red Cross and BR3T.
