Searching for answers today after one of the deadliest mass shootings in modern U.S. history left at least 26 lives lost and 20 wounded at the South Texas church. Yesterday, the Air Force acknowledged that it failed to flag the shooter in a database that would have prevented him from legally buying the weapons he used. He was given a bad-conduct discharge from the Air Force in 2014 and was technically ineligible to legally buy a gun.

Police were searching for a man accused of shooting at cars with an assault rifle along an 18-mile stretch of Interstate 35 Saturday morning. Late Sunday night they found him and he was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
