Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN), in support of Mayor Steve Adler’s Clean Up Kit drive, is
encouraging the community to come out in large numbers starting Monday, Sept 11th through Saturday, Sept 16th, to drop off cleaning supplies or already pre-made cleaning kits. As communities throughout Southeast Texas begin mucking out their homes, these critical supplies are in high demand as families begin the long recovery from the impact of Hurricane Harvey. “We are praying for our neighbors in Florida affected by Hurricane Irma, but our focus remains on our brothers and sisters in Texas,” said Daniel Geraci, ADRN Founder and Executive Director. “Among the greatest needs now, are cleaning supplies,” he said. ADRN is asking the community to help us prepare Clean Up Kits for thousands of survivors impacted by the storm. CLEAN UP BUCKET CONTENTS (To prepare a clean up kit, place items in a white bucket with a lid)
- 5 Gallon Bucket with Lid
- 3 N-95 masks
- 1 large spray bottle
- 1 x 1.27liter bottle of bleach
- Antibacterial multi-purpose cleaner
- 1 can of powder cleanser
- 1 package of 2 scrub brushes
- 1 bar of soap
- 2 packages of large Latex gloves (2 pairs per packets)
- 1 radial dish brush
- 2 brillo sponges
- 2 regular sponges
- 1 pair of safety goggles
- 2 cloth rags
- 1 medium roll of kitchen trash bags
- Utility Knife
- Include an encouraging note to a survivor/family
Completed clean up kits may be dropped off at the Hope Family Thrift Store, 1122 East 51st Street Austin, Texas 78723. Drop-off hours: Monday-Saturday, 10AM-5PM. Sunday – Closed; or at the 360 Warehouse, 1905 South Capitol of TX Highway, Austin, TX 78746. Drop-off hours: Monday–Saturday, 9AM-5PM.
To date, Austin Disaster Relief Network and church partner, Celebration Church, has shipped over 70 semi’s worth of disaster supplies and goods to Kountze, Orange, La Grange, Port Arthur, Beaumont, Houston and other smaller areas impacted by Hurricane Harvey by semi or by plane.

Monetary donations, in the form of financial funds, are needed at this time to help ADRN provide support to survivors impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Funds will be distributed in the form of gift cards, emergency housing, emergency transportation and/or building materials to meet immediate and long-term needs.
