Air Force One touches down in Israel this morning as President Trump makes his second stop on his first presidential trip outside the U.S. He’ll have meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu—Who said, “Welcome my good friend” to President Trump as he arrived. In the first two days of his nine-day international trip through the Middle East and Europe, President called on leaders to ‘Stand in Uniform Condemnation’ of Terror- President Trump says there “can be no co-existence” with the violence of terrorism, and that a terrorist’s invocation of God is “an insult to every person of faith.”
It happened in Canada when a sea lion grabbed a little girl by her dress and pulled her into the water. The little girl and others had been feeding the sea lions at the water’s edge. A nearby Good Samaritan jumped in to the water and grabbed the girl and pulled her to safety. No one was hurt.
Jury selection begins today in the assault case for 79 year old Bill Cosby that carries a potential 10-year prison term. The trial is expected to take at least two weeks.
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus received its final standing ovation last night as it performed its last show. The final performance ends a 146 year run for the circus, which billed itself as “The Greatest Show on Earth.” The company had long battled animal rights activists in costly court skirmishes, winning a $15 million judgment against them in 2015. But apparently lost the larger fight with public opinion.
Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas opened yesterday morning and University Medical Center Brackenridge has closed. More than 100 patients are being transferred to the new hospital. Dell Seton is the areas only Level 1 trauma center for adults. Dell Children’s Medical Center is a Level 1 trauma center for children.
