You’ve heard the saying, ‘When it rains, it pours.’ That certainly seems to be the case right now for Jamie Grace and her family. It seems like one thing after another continues to hit them during a difficult time. Nevertheless, the family continues to praise God for all of the blessings he has giving them. The are a beautiful example of how to weather the storm.
Here’s what Grace had to say about a recent robbery her family’s church went through:
our church was robbed on Sunday before church. it’s the third time we’ve had a major robbery and this time the power’s been cut and our sound system and sound equipment = stolen. all while my parents – the pastors – are across the country seeking better healthcare for our mom. the same pastors/parents who started this church in 92 and have faced so much since. people continually telling them that being missionary pastors is too much work with not enough ‘reward.’ the often suggestion to move our church because the neighborhood isn’t what it used to be. • • •but that’s not the point, my friends. we’re not at our church for an abundance of funds or a glamorous town. we’re there the souls worth fighting for and the lives worth changing – including ours. we’re there for community we have built in our small town (Stone Mountain, GA) loving on those who may not be as fortunate as us. we’re there for the family we’ve built in that town who have walked with us through the hardest of years. we’re there because the King doesn’t look at your zip code, income, past, race or anyyyyyything before He decides who is and isn’t worth loving. He simply – loves. • • • •so to whoever did this… I am sorry. for the brokenness in your life that drove you to hurt us. and I forgive you. for the hurt you’ve caused. but above all I want you know – we will recover. • • • •we serve a King who doesn’t look at yesterday. He isn’t concerned with faults or failures. He is here and now. Present. and He’s already showing us how we will recover. though our church family praying and worshiping with no electricity – praising God no matter what! through local donations and support from news stations and prayers and support from around the WORLD! we will be okay. and we will continue to preach His name as long as we can – with or without a mic. Because He loves us. He loves you. He has so much love for absolutely everyone and nothing could get in the way of that. • • • •(if you would like to read the full story or see the news updates, visit http://gofundme.com/kccrecovery) @natashabedingfield – recover #natashabedingfield
