A private memorial service will take place Today for mother-daughter duo Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher. Fisher, 60, best known for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars movie series, died Dec. 27. Reynolds, 84, died after an apparent stroke a day later. Todd Fisher, Debbie’s son and Carrie’s brother, told ABC News he believes his mother died because she could not bear to lose Carrie.

Pediatricians worried about spike in respiratory virus cases– Baylor Scott & White say they had more than 122 cases in Central Texas over the past week. The virus can be fatal for infants and small children and mimics the flu. Pediatricians say the cold snaps will mean even more patients getting sick. Their advice: wash your hands and stay home if you’re sick.
