Our newest Difference Maker, Heather, was nominted by Jayson. You can tell Jayson thinks really highly of her. We love what Jayson wrote for why she should be our next pick.
‘ While I was stationed in Bamburg Germany with the US Army, Heather became the Family Readiness Support Assistance for the 173th Airborne that was deploying the Afghanistan. Through countless reports of attacks and the deaths of three troops, Heather kept the families informed, strong, and held activities to keep them together.
Since coming to Texas, Heather has been volunteering as a MOPs (Mothers of Preschoolers) leader. She has made real headway reaching out to moms that have or had spouses in the military and continues to offer comfort and support to former military spouses and mothers-to-be with care packages, meal deliveries, and life experiences that helped her get through rough times.
Heather is a mother of four with the last two being twins and has been the rock of support and encouragement in my transition from the army to the real world and in going back to school. I get into little arguments with her about how she puts everyone else first and not taking time for herself but she just keeps going.’
Pretty amazing, huh? We love that Heather has taken her life experiences to serve and help others. Thank you to Heather and Jayson both for their service. Join us in congratulating our new Difference Maker!
