It’s that time of year again when a big shift happens. Kids are going back to school and new routines are being created. Some parents are ecstatic and others are sad but it’s one piece of life we can all share with each other and understand.
Here’s what Natalie Grant had to say:
This was such a sweet yet emotional day. Dropping off my baby at kindergarten was even harder than I thought it was going to be. I tried not to cry until I left so I wouldn’t make it harder for Sadie. But I couldn’t keep the tears back. And instead of me holding my child, my child was holding me.
She whispered in my ear: ‘I’m sad too, momma, because I will miss you. But I’m not alone, remember? Jesus is with me.’
Yes, yes He is my Sadie girl. And He’s with me.
Can’t help but think of these lyrics:
‘I’ll always want to hold you tight, keep you safe with all my might. So I will leave Jesus next to you, when I leave the room.’
Encouraging words for a new journey. Matthew West shared similar sentiments with his girls:

Even TobyMac had to share a photo of his daughter’s first day:

So, for all those of you feeling an extra case of the Mondays after dropping off your sweet ones, remember, you’re not alone.
