The World Health Organization is holding an emergency meeting today to discuss how to respond to the Zika Virus. It is carried by mosquitoes and can cause birth defects if someone who has the virus gets pregnant. The WHO said it’s spreading explosively.

The UIL is expected to announce new classifications for high schools and several Austin area schools could be affected. Vandergrift, Vista Ridge, and Leander are expected to move from 5A to 6A because of increased enrollment. Austin High, and Rouse are expected to go from 6A to 5A.
