Each weekday morning, Steve & Amy share the top news stories your friends & families might be talking about. Looking for more than just the headline they shared? Check it out here:
The bodies of three more people have been found in the flooding in Hays County. One was a boy who has not been identified. The other two are Jose Arteaga Pichardo and Michelle Charba. Michelle’s sister Cristen said,’ We’re going to survive this together as a family, we have faith, but, we will get through this. My son told me this morning he said I’m not worried because this is God’s plan and he’s going to make good of this.”
The story of Larry Thomas is now coming out. He was one of the people who lost his life in the flooding in Wimberley. Friends of his tried to get to him in a canoe but couldn’t.
The bill that would allow Texans to openly carry handguns has stalled because of opposition from Police. Law enforcement wants to be able to stop people who are carrying guns and ask for their license. That wouldn’t be allowed in the current version.
The water level in Lake Travis has gone up nearly 30 feet in the last month, most of that in the last week. It is now only 12% below its average.
