David Letterman is signing off from CBS’ Late Show on May 20 after a 22-year run (and a 40-plus-year TV career). But the network will give him a proper prime-time sendoff with a 90-minute special tonight. David Letterman: A Life on Television will include clips, highlights of favorite segments such as Stupid Human Tricks and interviews with world leaders. It’ll be hosted by his pal Ray Romano.
Austin Police are investigating a traffic death that killed a man on foot early Monday morning. An Austin police spokesman said the man was crossing the westbound lanes of the Ben White Boulevard frontage road, near South Congress, when a car hit him, just before 12:15 a.m. The man was pronounced dead minutes later.
