What’s a family to do when your world is turned upside down by a three-story wall of water?
Families in Japan are asking that very question as they survey the devastation caused by last Friday’s earthquake and tsunami.
Few of us can comprehend the widespread scale of disaster. Video and photos provide glimpses, but cannot tell the entire story of the destruction and loss. But as we observe the human side of this tragedy, we are all asking, ‘What’s a family to do?’
Jim Daly, President of Focus on the Family, says the number one thing a family, our families, can do is pray. ‘Let us pray for those now struggling on the island of Japan. Let’s also pray that the horror of this natural disaster will be redeemed amidst the recovery, and that many who don’t believe in Him will find ultimate hope and rescue through faith in Jesus Christ.’
