There’s no doubt about it, what has happened on the Texas coast is completely heart-breaking. Towns like Rockport, Port Aransas, Houston, Beaumont and so many more have been devastated by the biggest storm that has ever hit our beautiful state. Despite it all, we’ve seen some amazing acts of selflessness as Texans from all over the state have brought their personal boats and supplies with them to help up during this desperate time.
We’d love to continue showing our fellow Texans that everything is truly bigger here, including how much we care for each other. We are taking donations for the Austin Disaster Relief Network. Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity organization, is comprised of over 175 Greater Austin churches and thousands of trained volunteers bringing hope into crisis. ADRN’s network enables and empowers church members to organize, prepare, mobilize, and respond quickly in the event of disaster, great or small.
Invite your friends and family to support those hurting in Texas after Hurricane Harvey. There are many ways to give including donating online, texting keyword “AustinRelief” to 444999 or dropping off donations at one of these locations. Another way you can contribute to helping survivors is to get your friends and family together to make welcome kits for evacuees that will be soon finding refuge in Austin. Learn more on how to do this here.
We’re so excited to see what God will do when we all come together as one. Join us as Texans loving Texans.
