  • President Trump called for a vote on the GOP plan to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act — even if it doesn’t pass — today amid an ongoing struggle with members of his party. Republican leaders were forced to postpone yesterday’s planned vote after it became clear they could not get enough support from their own party to pass the legislation. Even if it passes, the bill is unlikely to be approved by Senate Republicans without major changes.

  • Parliament was resuming normal operations today, one day after a terror attack struck London. The attack, took place near the United Kingdom's Parliament, left at least five people were killed and 40 more injured after a man attacked several people on Westminster Bridge and stabbed a police officer before being shot by law enforcement. Prime Minister Theresa May, who confirmed she was in Parliament at the time, called the incident a "sick and depraved terrorist attack." Police say attack is linked to Islamic extremism.

  • Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch will face tough questioning from Democrats  today, a day after the Senate Judiciary Committee laid out the case for and against his confirmation.  Gorsuch is 49 and serves on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit in Denver and is viewed as a close replica of the late Justice Antonin Scalia, will likely have to explain his legal philosophy.

  • So, did then-President Obama have then-candidate Trump's New York offices wiretapped during the 2016 election? FBI Director James Comey is expected to refute that claim when he testifies today on Capitol Hill before the House Intelligence Committee. President Trump made the allegation in a series of tweets March 4. He has not backed down even as House and Senate leaders briefed by James Comey recently have flatly denied it.

  • Come meet our Dog of the Week, Teddy! Teddy is a very handsome three year old Lab/Retriever mix waiting to find his forever home. Teddy is a super smart dog and is very attentive to his handler. He will be a really fun dog to train to the lucky family who gets to take this boy home! Teddy loves to be active and is one of stars at the shelter when it comes to the agility course! Teddy would do best with a family that can give him plenty of attention, exercise and love. He would make a great hiking buddy! Teddy seems to like other dogs and absolutely loves people. He'd do especially great in a home where someone is around most of the time so he doesn’t get lonely. Come meet this handsome boy today and fall in love!

  • President Trump and German Chancellor Angela Merkel meet at the White House today (pushed back from Tuesday by snow) in a meeting of leaders with major differences in personality and policy. Starting even before his inauguration, Trump has attacked the Merkel, accusing her of "ruining Germany" because of Germany's lenient migrant asylum policies. The two have also clashed on defense spending, the European Union and global trade. Their friction has caused concern for the future of the trans-Atlantic relationship.
