"William" was the target of Monday's "Name Game". Many of you may have heard his unbelievable story when I was caller #5 yesterday evening. This young man and his bride-to-be could really use your prayers right now. They should be on their honeymoon this week, but their wedding which should have been last Saturday (10/08) had to be postponed. William was in a devastating motorcycle accident in Houston last Wednesday, just three days before his wedding day. My current Spirit 105.9 profile pic shows William and his fiance Robin. Please pray with me for his healing, her comfort, and the glory of God to be revealed through their journey. Learn more about his story at: www.caringbridge.org/visit/williammock
Thank you in advance for your prayers fellow Christian friends in Central Texas.

@EmilyC_1322 Hi, I just thought for your father and anyone suffering from similar symptoms, as I had in the past, be sure to check for H Pylori which is an infection of the stomach. Frequently tests are not given for this infection. A simple breath or blood test can be requested to help you determine it's presence. Discovered by Doctor in 1980's it creates a host of symptoms like you describe but frequently can be overlooked. About 25 people with whom I've shared because they had similar symptoms found relief with treatment. They found they were infected and it requires a regimen for about 30 days of 3 different antibiotics. I've not tested positive for years and I'm grateful for discovering the source of my suffering which had lasted over ten years. Almost unbearable Stomach discomfort, with swelling, bloating, acid indigestion, ulcers are just some of the more common symptoms to which antacids have no lasting effect. God Bless You and Your Family!

@EmilyC_1322 Emily, I am a RN and I was reading a report yesterday about GI health and they said one of the best things you can do for your GI tract is to take 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar 1-3 times per day for your stomach. I know vinegar is good as I have used it in the past with good results. It is good cleaning agent and it is good for infections as well. Your dad, Rudy might want to give it a try. Sometimes treatments are easy and not complicated with drugs. Best wishes and I pray your father gets better.

Please pray for my mom. My mom has had a horrible past. Lately her ad memories have stopped her from putting my four year old sister who has down syndrome first instead of herself. Some miracle happened about a month ago. My mom was offered to go to a treatment center in Canada to help with her problems. This however leaves me in charge of my 4 year old sister, and grandmother with a brain problem. Today my grandmother was acting strange and while eating dinner, got sick. So right now she is in the Emergency Room. and we have no way at all of contacting my mom to tell her my grandmother is in the hospital. So i guess pray for my grandma too.

My nephew John Manual and Sara Perez live in Plainview Texas. They were married one year ago and she was dignosed with cervical cancer and was 5 month pregnant. She went into the hospital last year and delivered the baby at 7 months of her pregancy. She was in remission when the cancer came back into her lungs. She has been given 3 months to live by the doctors. My heart goes out to this young couple. I spoke to John Manual and he has turned to a biker club because, this is where is he is finding support love, and attention during this difficult time. When I spoke to him he stated " Auntie Jo Anna you have done for me than folks that proclaim to be Christians and live in my same town. " No phone calls, stop by to see if we need anything and they are family members. I am requesting prayer for John Manual, sara, my sister in law Olga for God's angels to provide protection, peace and support during the difficult road ahead of them.

I know my Lord died on the cross for our sickness and I ask the Lord to help Sara and John Manual. I ask God to send his angels to ministry to John Manual because, he is hurting right now and he wants to give up on the Lord but, the Lord has not given up on him. This is an urgent request for the Chrisitian community to join in prayer for John Manual and Sara, and Olga and the children of this family.

@Jo AnnaM Dear John & Sara, my prayers are with you at this time. I pray that God will heal you; be proactive and go on line and look at alternative systematic treatments. I heard large doses of Vit C is good, a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar per day. Who knows what might happen. Keep your faith in God and remember people get 'busy' in life. I know how you feel. I just moved to San Marcos in August, know no one and am unpacking and fixing my new home by myself. It has been hard on me, lifting the boxes and doing everything myself. God hears your prayers. If God is for you, who can be against you? Keep your faith in God and your eyes on Him. Take care of the family that God has blessed you with and take one day at a time. I will be thinking and praying for you.

I am asking for prayers that the merciful and all-knowing God will touch and unload His healing hands on my junior sister, Christiana, who has been struck with a delibitating stroke that leaves her unable to walk and talk.

Thank you in the name of the Lord, our God.

My brother, Jeremy, was diagnosed with bladder cancer in October 2011. He's had two transurethral resection surgeries. This surgery is basically where a urologist goes in through the urethra to scrape & burn out the cancer cells inside the bladder. The first surgery was right before Halloween, the second surgery was December 7th. It took seven days to get the pathology reports back from the latest surgery. The pathology reports showed that the cancer was still there, the surgeries failed. The cancer is muscle invasive, it has moved into the muscle wall of the bladder. The good news? It hasn't moved to other organs or lymph nodes. The bad news? Because the cancer is in the muscle wall there's a high risk of the cancer cells to move throughout the body through the blood vessels in the muscle wall of the bladder. Our next step, I say our because he will not be going through any of this alone, is chemotherapy to lower the chance of the cancer moving. He will begin his treatment the first week of January. Chemo treatment will last between 3-6 months. He'll be on two different chemo meds, Cisplatin, which will be given through IV once a month, the other is, Gemcitabine, given once a week for three weeks. He will be given a week "off" and resume treatment until finished with the 3-6 months. After chemotherapy, a urologist will be removing his bladder. We are hoping to find a good urologist that will be able to create an imitation bladder from his intestine. The oncologist advised chemo first to attempt to get any microscopic cancer cells that MAY be in the body and then remove the bladder, in that order. That way they aren't allowing the cancer cells to attack other parts of his body.At this point, we are very hopeful that this will have the best outcome. Jeremy and all of his family and close friends are very scared. No one wants to be diagnosed with that C word. Please pray for Jeremy to stay strong and healthy and positive.

Please lift my sister, Brandy, up in prayer, as she suffered a massive stroke 11 days ago. She was in ICU for just over a week, but now she is now on a regular floor. However, Brandy is paralyed on her right side and she cannot speak. She will be released from the hospital on Wednesday into a rehab facility. She is only 38-years old. The doctors believe that she may never make a full recovery, but God is the ultimate healer, and only HE knows what the outcome will be. Our family has so much faith and hope that she will pull through. We are praying for God's will to be done, and for God to prepare us for whatever that may look like. Please keep Brandy and our family in your prayers during this time.

Today is the 2nd year that I've been experiencing inretractable migraines. I'm 13 years old and have barely made it to school at all this year. I miss my friends, and just want to be normal. My only remaining hope is for one of the companies that do the ONSTIM ( Optical Nerve Stimulation for the Treatment of Inretractable Migraines) to sponsor me. I would be very grateful if all the wonderful people here would pray for me to become better.

Please pray for my parents and elderly aunt. Dad had a stroke in January, and is doing much better in a few ways, but can't drive and is depressed to be homebound unless someone takes him places. I am out of town, and please pray that I have the opportunity to go often. Please pray for patience for my brother, so he can help. My mom and aunt both have some dementia, and my mom has vertigo. Please pray for all three of them. Thank you.

I have been battling health issues for almost 2 years. After months of uncertainty, I was finally diagnosed with hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue and other hormone imbalances. I am receiving treatment; however, I'm still struggling daily. The doctors have not been able to get me on the right course of treatment to bring me to complete wellness. I'm suffering with mild to severe muscle/joint pain, brain fog, fatigue, no stamina, low mood at times and other things. I'm so weary of the struggle! I'm ready for my victory! I know only God can heal me and restore my health and well-being. I am on 34 years old and have a beautiful 5-year old daughter and husband that depend of me. I want to live my life fully again and not be limited by these health issues. I'm standing in faith that I am ALREADY healed, In Jesus Name. I would love the extra prayers. I know I'm under spiritual attack. The devil will NOT win! I'm a child of GOD!!!

My wife does home health care for a friend. Yesterday she had to take her to the hospital as she was having a problem with her leg. Turns out she had a very large blood clot from above her thigh all the way to her ankle. Last night the doctor said there was a 50/50 chance if her losing her entire leg. Last night they did a catheterization and got most if the clot broken up. Another procedure today has brought it down to just a possibility of losing her foot. She doesn't want to and hopes this second cath. has cleared up the problem and will start the circulation flowing to her foot. Please send prayers of healing for Miss Brenda.

  • We were playing outside with our kids last weekend and my son was blowing a bubble. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, a few clouds in the sky and just a nice, subtle breeze. The kids were in shorts, running around laughing and when they stopped to blow bubbles, my son said, “Let’s blow some bubbles up to heaven for Jesus. I know he will love this. He wants to pop some. He’ll laugh.”
Stay tuned for more exciting Contests coming soon!
