Who: Calling all families, individuals, companies, and businesses.

What: A 2 mile fun-run, a 1 mile family scavenger hunt/walk and a kid-friendly activity festival.

When: Saturday, October 20, 2012, 8:30 - 11:30 am

Where: At the living center's 95+ acre campus: Austin State Supported Living Center

Why: To raise funds for a wheelchair-accessible working greenhouse, where residents can learn about growing and taking care of plants. Funds will also be used to purchase additional recreational equipment such as glider swings, which are designed to accommodate wheelchairs. There are over 115 residents who rely exclusively on wheelchairs for mobility. It would be so nice for them to be able to enjoy swinging outside and enjoy the fresh air.
