Calif. wildfires: Strong winds is presenting an additional threat-— The wildfires have taken at least 17 lives and destroyed more than 2,000 structures. The fires — fueled by dry grasses and brush, heat and low humidity — taking entire neighborhoods. Southern California also battled through dangerous wildfires, with Santa Ana winds spreading in Anaheim, Calif. and burning more than 8,000 acres. President Trump said the federal government will be providing help.
Target testing Drive Up service at some stores–Target has begun testing a new service for its popular Target runs — that is, quick trips to the store to pick up a few items. The service allows customers to order something from Target and have it brought to their car by an employee.
A sixth case of Legionnaires’ Disease has been confirmed at the Spring Hill Suites in Round Rock. Bacteria in the water supply is thought to be the cause, and several of the guests who were infected say they used the hot tub. The hotel has hired a company to try to solve the problem.
