The Spirit of Austin – Spirit 105.9 will broadcast live from the Austin Disaster Relief Network (ARDN) Headquarters for a four-hour long Phonathon from 6:00am to 10:00am, Thursday, August 31. Hosted by popular 105.9 personalities Steve and Amy, the Phonathon will help answer the public’s questions about where and what to donate, and how all can help those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
“Thousands of people are suffering in Texas, and we are proud to step up to help the Austin Disaster Relief Network help our neighbors,” said Steve and Amy. In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, over the next several days, the city of Austin will be welcoming thousands of Texans who now have nowhere else to go, and nothing but the clothes they’re wearing. SPIRIT 105.9 has partnered with the Austin Disaster Relief Network to help welcome our fellow Texans, and we need your help,” they said.
The broadcast will originate live from the ADRN Headquarters from 6:00 to 10:00 am Thursday, August 31, and listeners will be asked to call ADRN’s Hotline at 512-806-0800 for donation and drop-off information. “Thousands of people are coming to Austin and need monetary donations as well as personal supplies, and we applaud the outstanding efforts of Spirit 105.9 in helping us meet the needs of those in need,” said Daniel Geraci, ADRN Founder and Executive Director .
