Residents in Guam expressed their concern yesterday after North Korea’s military said it’s considering measures to strike the strategic U.S. military outpost with an intermediate to long range ballistic missile. The threat came hours after President Trump lashed out at North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in response to North Korea warning that it would launch “thousands-fold” revenge against the U.S. after the United Nations imposed new sanctions on for its nuclear and missile programs.
Wireless carrier T-Mobile takes aim at the Baby Boomer generation with a new pricing plan that kicks in today. The T-Mobile One Unlimited 55+ plan includes two lines and unlimited talk, text and data for $60 monthly, including taxes and fees. The top two U.S. carriers control about 80% of Boomers, while T-Mobile currently has just 8%.
Glen Campbell, the affable superstar singer of “Rhinestone Cowboy” and “Wichita Lineman” whose appeal spanned country, pop, television and movies, passed away yesterday. He was 81. Dolly Parton said, “Glen is one of the greatest voices there ever was in the business. He was a wonderful musician as well. A lot of people don’t realize that. But he could play anything and he could play it really well.”
French police are searching for a driver who slammed his BMW into a group of soldiers in a suburb of Paris yesterday. Six people were injured. Police believe it was intentional.
