Terminally ill British infant Charlie Gard could be moved to hospice care today in the latest chapter of the controversial right-to-life case. A London judge ruled yesterday that Charlie, who suffers from a rare genetic disease and cannot breathe unassisted, would be moved to a hospice unless his parents and the hospital treating him agree on his end-of-life plan by noon Today. Chris Gard and Connie Yates on Monday ended a months-long legal battle for the right to take Charlie to the United States for experimental treatment. Yesterday they returned to court seeking a medical team that could keep their baby alive for a week in hospice care rather than just a few hours.
Austin police are now considering pulling all of its 397 Ford SUVs off the streets. More than 20 officers have been treated and released for possible carbon monoxide poisoning. While this mainly has been an issue with patrol vehicles, regular consumers have reported they’ve had similar issues as well.
