Come meet our Dog of the Week, Teddy! Teddy is a very handsome three-and-a-half-year-old Lab/Retriever mix waiting to find his forever home. Teddy is incredibly smart and is very attentive to his handler. Teddy loves to be active and is one of stars at the shelter when it comes to the agility course! He will be a fun dog to train! Teddy would do best with a family that can give him plenty of attention, exercise, and love. He has a lot of energy so it would be great if his new home had a nice big yard. He would make a great buddy for someone who likes to get outside and run or hike! Teddy likes other dogs and has some great playdates with friends here at the shelter. We always recommend a dog introduction if you’re bringing Teddy home to any canine brothers or sisters. Teddy would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time so he doesn’t get lonely. Teddy’s adoption fee is free in homes of getting into a good home soon. Come meet this handsome boy and fall in love today!

Serving our community since 1952, the Austin Humane Society (AHS) is the longest standing no-kill shelter in Austin. AHS transforms the lives of animals and the people who love them through life-saving programs that find animals homes, serve animals and people in times of crisis, prevent future homelessness though spay and neuter, and engage the community to be a part of the solution. Over the past year, AHS has unleashed hope for nearly 11,000 animals thanks to the generosity of our donors.
The Austin Humane Society is located at 124 W. Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas 78752. AHS is open from noon-7p.m Monday-Saturday and noon-5pm on Sundays. For more information visit www.austinhumanesociety.org or follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
