It seems like each year SXSW continues to grow larger and larger but the exciting part is that family friendly activities are growing too! More businesses are starting to reach out to kids in the best way! Check out these local activities you can do with the whole family while the SXSW conference is in town:
CARTOON NETWORK NEW NEW NEW NEW SCREENING
Staring at 6:30PM at the Long Center and free to the public. Join Cartoon Network for NEW, NEW, NEW, NEW content from The Amazing World of Gumball, We Bare Bears, Ben 10 and Teen Titans Go! But don’t go anywhere before the big surprise! Attendance is free and open to the public! No badge needed.
The Little Yoga House Music Showcase
This Spring join The Little Yoga House for their 5th Annual Music Showcase. For five days in a row the kids only yoga studio will host a variety of interactive musicians for kids to play, sing and dance along to. In addition to music, the studio will have complimentary snacks, beverages and local health and wellness brands set-up with hands on displays for kids & parents.
The event will take place Monday, March 13th – Friday March, 17th from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Clarksville location.

In partnership with Austin Parks and Recreation Department, the much loved Family Music Meltdown is back for 2017 with an amazing lineup, crafts and activities for kids, local nonprofits, food trucks and fun for everyone!

Families are invited to come celebrate music and books at this year’s Rock + Read at The Domain on Saturday, March 18, 2017, from 2-5:30pm.
Join us on the lawn between Dick’s Sporting Goods and Dillard’s for live music, readings by local children’s book authors, crafts, giveaways and lots of fun! This is a FREE event for kids of all ages.
