US missile launchers and other equipment to set up a missile defense system have arrived in South Korea, just one day after North Korea test launched four ballistic missiles near Japan. North Korea, China, and Russia have objected to the defense system as a threat. The US and South Korea have said it’s not meant to be a threat to China or Russia.
House Republicans have unveiled their idea for a replacement for Obamacare. Their plan gets rid of the individual mandate, creates a system of tax credits to provide access to care, and freezes Medicare expansion beginning in 2020.
The best country in the World? Not the U.S., according to a ranking by U.S. News and World Report released on Tuesday. The study evaluated 80 countries on a variety of factors, from economic influence to quality of life. The U.S. slipped from fourth in 2016 to seventh in the latest ranking. The top spot now belongs to Switzerland.
IHOP is hosting its 12th annual National Pancake Day, giving away free pancakes across all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. IHOP is hoping customers will put that money and more toward a donation to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Shriners Hospitals for Children. Since its first event in 2006, IHOP has raised $24 million for youth health and wellness organizations.
