This week, we’d like you to meet Heidi, an 8 year old Chocolate Retriever/Lab mix. This very sweet senior lady will win your heart in no time, she’s that sweet! Heidi is very patient and loving. She’s laid back and calm. She walks very well on leash and enjoys taking in the sights, sounds, and smells. You can tell she likes to lounge outside and seems to love feeling the breeze on her face. She loves affection and just wants to be around people. Heidi is also incredibly intelligent. She knows several tricks and commands! Heidi is a bigger lady, weighing in at 73 pounds. She could stand to lose a few pounds and would benefit from living with a family who will keep her active. Heidi will be the perfect addition to one very lucky family! Don’t take our word for it though, come meet her today at the Austin Humane Society.
Serving our community since 1952, the Austin Humane Society (AHS) is the longest standing no-kill shelter in Austin. AHS transforms the lives of animals and the people who love them through life-saving programs that find animals homes, serve animals and people in times of crisis, prevent future homelessness though spay and neuter, and engage the community to be a part of the solution. Over the past year, AHS has unleashed hope for nearly 11,000 animals thanks to the generosity of our donors.
The Austin Humane Society is located at 124 W. Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas 78752. AHS is open from noon-7p.m Monday-Saturday and noon-5pm on Sundays. For more information visit www.austinhumanesociety.org or follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
