Wisconsin today plans to begin a recount of votes cast in the presidential election in response to a request by Green Party candidate Jill Stein. The Stein campaign also requested a recount in Pennsylvania and in Michigan. The Clinton campaign is supporting Stein’s efforts, though aides said it likely wouldn’t change the election outcome.

The city of Austin is considering lowering speed limits in neighborhoods. Nearly half of people hit by cars at 30 mph are critically injured; 20% don’t survive. There is some research that shows that lowering speeds to 25mph would lower those rates significantly.
