Brown Santa is about to kick off their 34th Holiday Season of helping and giving to children and families. The Brown Santa Program is a community service of the Travis County Sheriff’s Office and the many sponsors and volunteers who make it happen each year. This program provides assistance to underprivileged children and their families in the unincorporated areas of Travis County and residents of local retirement centers in Travis County. Brown Santa is a tax-exempt organization (501c3).
The Travis County Brown Santa Board of Directors is looking for a building that can be donated for a good cause as the “Brown Santa Warehouse” for this year. They are looking for a warehouse to accept donations and a place where the public can come by and volunteer in sorting toys and food goods, making gift boxes, and gift wrapping.
They are looking for mostly warehouse space of at least 30,000 to 50,000 square feet with some office space, heat, air conditioning, restrooms, electricity, and telephone lines. Single level and prefer at least 5 loading docks. They would assume payment of all utilities during the period of operation. They operate in a matter that will not cause damage to any facilities. They carry our own Insurance and a copy will be provided with detail coverage.
The time period of operation is from October 9, 2016 through December 31, 2016. They would like to have access to the parking lot as early as possible to begin moving trailers to the site. The warehouse would be vacated on or before January 8, 2017, left clean and in the same shape as it was accepted. The Brown Santa trailers are locked and secured and moved from the property shortly after by the help of volunteer Truck Drivers.
Best number to be reached is 512 698-2813.
We would greatly appreciate your assistance in helping us make this year another successful year for our community.
