Fox News has canceled its March 21 Republican presidential debate following Donald Trump’s decision not to attend. The cancellation comes after DonaldTrump said on Fox News a few hours earlier that he would not attend the debate, leading John Kasich to pull out as well. Ted Cruz said he was willing to debate either Trump or Kasich, or both. Donald said he will instead speak at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee on March 21. AIPAC said Donald is confirmed to speak at its annual conference about American policies on Israel. Donald said he only recently found out about the debate, and he can’t cancel his speech. ‘I’m making a major speech in front of a very important group of people,’ Donald said he would consider doing future debates.
Congress hopes to gain insight into the Flint water crisis This morning when Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder and EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy testify. They are expected to be quizzed on what they knew about high levels of lead in Flint’s water and when they knew it. The public health crisis has kept residents from drinking water straight from the tap following the city’s switch to the Flint River as its water source in April 2014.
Sea World has decided to stop breeding killer whales in captivity. They also said they would replace the theatrical shows they’ve been doing with orcas with what they called “new inspiring, natural orca encounters.” Even though they won’t be breeding new orcas, they live up to about 30 years so they’ll be around for a while.
President Obama has chosen Merrick Garland as his nominee for Supreme Court Justice. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said again that there would be no vote in the Senate hearings or votes on a Supreme Court nominee until there is a new president.

Our hearts go out to the family of Lake Travis High School junior Savannah Griffiths and the whole Lake Travis High School community. Savannah was riding in a friend’s car in a heavy downpour on Highway 71 last Friday, when they got into an accident with an 18 wheeler. The driver survived, Savanah didn’t make it.
