Inside a sweltering aircraft hanger where he was surrounded by veterans of war and politics, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry made his case yesterday for a second chance at the White House. ‘We have the power to make things new again, to project America’s strength again and to get our economy going again,’ Perry told a cheering audience of supporters at the Addison Airport just outside of Dallas, ‘And that is exactly why today I am running for the presidency of the United States of America.’
An interview with Jill and Jessa, two of Josh Duggar’s younger sisters who were victims of his case, will air tonight. Their story follows Fox News’ Megyn Kelly’s interview with parents Michelle and Jim Bob, which got a lot of negative response on social media. The parents acknowledged in their interview that four of their eldest son’s victims were their daughters. A fifth was a family friend. ‘Every victim should have the right to tell their own story, not by a tabloid,’ Jim Bob said.
Southwest Airlines extended its nationwide fare sale through the end of Friday. That’s because bargain-seekers bogged down Southwest.com. The sale, which launched Tuesday, makes many of Southwest’s shortest flights $49 each way, making dozens of non-stop routes across the nation available for less than $100 round trip. The sale has become something of an annual tradition for Southwest.
