An aircraft carrier has been sent to Yemen to block Iranian arms THE US has dispatched the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt to the waters off Yemen to join a blockage aimed at preventing shipments of weapons from Iran to Shiite Houthi rebels, raising the possibility of a confrontation between US and Iranian ships.
Blue Bell Creameries issued a voluntary recall for all of its products late yesterday after two samples of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream tested positive for potentially deadly listeria bacteria. Blue Bell’s chief executive said in a statement that he ‘cannot say with certainty’ how the bacteria was introduced to the manufacturing line. ‘We’re committed to doing the 100 percent right thing, and the best way to do that is to take all of our products off the market until we can be confident that they are all safe,’ The latest recall includes ice cream, frozen yogurt, sherbet and frozen snacks.
Insurance companies pay more for hail damage after complaints to state-– Some homeowners are preparing to file insurance claims after this weekend’s storms, hoping the insurance companies will cover the damage. “Most insurance companies honor their insurance policies and handle claims properly,” said Jerry Hagins, a spokesperson for the Texas Department of Insurance. Note to other homeowners: Just because hail damage may look minor does not mean it is. Have a roofer look at the roof if you’ve experienced large hail.
