John Boehner is likely going to fend off revolt, win 3rd term as speaker–Although an effort to deny John Boehner a third term as Speaker of the House gained traction in recent days as a total of nine GOP lawmakers announced their intentions to vote against him, the brewing rebellion is unlikely to succeed. Even if Boehner wins a comfortable majority, however, the public rebellion will serve as a high-profile reminder of the opposition he faces within his own Republican ranks as the 114th Congress gets underway.

Bullock Museum IMAX to install new technology–The IMAX Theatre at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum has temporarily closed as the theater prepares to make a change to new digital technology. The theater is scheduled to reopen Feb. 6.
