New York Doctor is free from Ebola—Dr. Craig Spencer caused some controversy when state officials learned he had taken the subway and gone bowling the night before he tested positive for the virus on October 23—But he is now clear. There are currently no cases of Ebola in the U.S.
A flow of hot lava claimed a home yesterday, burning it to the ground after threatening a small Hawaii town for months. Residents of the home had already evacuated. The lava emerged from a vent in the volcano in June, and a long stretch of the flow has been moving toward the town since.
Working long hours for the past year, construction workers have faced some road blocks while building two toll express lanes on MoPac Expressway, leaving drivers frustrated. Work is about a month behind because of the troble digging through rock—however, the express lanes are still scheduled to open in fall of 2015.
