Austin, TX. Over 13,000 people attended SPIRIT Fest 2012 making it the largest event ever held at the Dell Diamond. Families from all over central Texas and the US came to the event to be a part of this one-day faith based event. The crowds starting lining up as early as two hours before the main gate opened up.
As festival goers entered the Dell Diamond, they were greeted by clowns, face painters, stilt walkers, fire jugglers, and more. However, the biggest draw was the live music that took place from two different stages placed in the outfield.
The main stage showcased top national Christian musicians while the local stage highlighted local talent from Austin and surrounding areas. The main stage line-up included Switchfoot, Newworldson, Jeremy Camp, Britt Nicole, Salvador, David Crowder, and MercyMe.
Throughout the day, SPIRIR Fest sponsors were able to interact with thousands of people and festival goers were able to learn more about the products and services offered by local businesses. Additionally, kids of all ages visited the Family Fun Zone which was filled with carnival rides, inflatable jump houses, petting zoo, pony rides and more!
Planning for next year’s SPIRIT Fest is well under way and details will be made available on www.spirit1059.com as Veteran’s Day weekend 2013 draws near.
