There was a big surprise Thursday for a Bastrop family who lost everything in the wildfire.
Travis Shepherd, his wife Meghan, and newborn son were presented with a 2008 Camry along with gas cards, a baby car seat, baby necessities, and cash.
‘We’re going through a tough time,’ Travis Shepherd said. ‘We have a two-and-a-half-month-old son. We’re just trying to rebuild.’
Travis and his wife are very thankful. He is a carpenter with the Lower Colorado River Authority and will now be able to travel back and forth to work.
The donation was made possible from friends who heard about the Shepherd family at Service King Collision Repair centers.
